(Almost) New Home Owners

We had our realtor take this picture of us during the walk through this morning. The house is empty and clean. We sign all of the paperwork later this afternoon and that will make this purchase official.

We have a U-Haul loaded with fragile things Pam and Jim were storing for us. This will get unloaded tonight. Our POD gets delivered Friday.

Better.

It was the end of the work day on Thursday when I had a tickle in my throat that wouldn't go away. I went home and started to feel a little feverish. uh oh.

Friday morning I woke up with a sore throat and still felt warm. Went into work to discover 3 of my co-workers also weren't feeling too hot. The day progressed and body aches and a headache developed. Barely made it through the day and felt so bad, I was doubting I would be able to make the drive home. Friday night was miserable.

Saturday was more of the same; barely got off the couch. Couldn't sleep, but didn't feel well enough to watch tv. It was a long day. Fever finally broke - woke up completely drenched 3 times over night.

Feeling BETTER today! I know I am feeling better because I am starving. I made peach pancakes from the freshly frozen peaches in my freezer. I also felt like I could barely lift my head off my pillow yesterday, and now I can sit up-right and not feel horrible :)

Chris and I have been e-mailing and his e-mails are full of all of the fun things he has been doing and mine are describing me practically on my death bed.

Chris comes home soon, which means we can actually talk to each other. We could talk now, but would be paying $2/min. He departs tonight and says he has more pictures to post on the blog, so be on the look out.

Copacabana Beach

Here is a blurry picture of Copacabana Beach. It is pretty poolluted and hazy and looking into the sun doesn't help. But it is warm and the water is nice so that is good!

Brazil

Here are pics from Brazil. Some are blurry because it is really hazy. Sorry!

Campinas from the car
Last meal in Campinas.

We are Homeless and Ecstatic!

Hope you have enjoyed looking at Chris' pictures from Brazil. Meanwhile, back here in the real world... ;)

The buyer of our house closed on the house and took possession today. We close on our new place on Wednesday! It was a good run, but we are sooo excited to move to Denver and have our very first house that we picked out together.

Our Apologies

We know we have been dead beat bloggers lately and we are very sorry.

I know it seems like we are up to a lot these days - family vacation, buying a house, selling a house, moving, being our cool selves (kidding). But the days in between all of these events have been pretty blah. Work has been keeping up very busy lately. Chris is traveling for work at the moment and Erica is putting in 12+ hour days, which doesn't leave a lot of time for blogging.

This weekend Erica was solo and besides some light cleaning and laundry, she caught up on sleep, poured over her new favorite blog, Young House Love, and looked for decorating ideas for the new abode. Gray is the new neutral was the conclusion of the weekend.

Waiting for Company

It has snowed 16" in the last 24 hours and 12"-18" more predicted on the way.

There will be great ski conditions for our visitors this week. If you don't know who those visitors are, you will just have to wait and see. Everyone arrives on Wednesday!

Empty

The Pod is full and the house is empty. A little cleaning and collecting of a few stray items yet to go.

The POD has landed

It will be interesting to see how much of the rest of our stuff we can cram in this thing. I was inside the POD and it feels much more spacious than it looks.
