We toured the
Celestial Seasonings Plant today. It was very interesting - we learned the difference between black, white, and green teas, and the difference between caffeinated, decaffeinated, and caffeine free tea among other things.
We also got to experience the Mint Room. It is an enclosed room where all of the spearmint and peppermint leaves are kept before they are milled and put into tea bags. Because it is so fragrant, it would contaminate all of the other herbs in the factory, and must be kept separate. It was intense! Your sinuses clear and you can feel it in your eyes. Imagine being trapped in a jar of Vicks Vapo-Rub!
This is the only Celestial Seasonings production facility in the whole wide world.

I looked at 2 stores in KC - nada. We stopped at Super Target this morning on the way to Boulder, and SI was the only magazine that was sold out. We finally found 4 of them at a small bookstore on Pearl Street. I picked up 2 for our favorite Wisconsinites.

This weekend, we painted our bedroom Lyndhurst Timber by Valspar. The picture does not do it justice. I think it is the color of chocolate milk and is a little darker in real life. The room looks so much warmer now. You can also see the new and newly painted, bright white closet doors and trim.
