Show Time!

Chris loved the show; he says it was his favorite event of the year so far.  It was really funny, but it did have parts that were totally over the top, which is to be expected when Trey Parker and Matt Stone are involved.

Book of Mormon!

Taking in the Book of Mormon this afternoon.  We have been listening to the soundtrack in preparation.

Stage 6: Atop Flagstaff

Friday was business as usual.  We both headed to the office for a dose of reality.  We also now have cable after 2 years without.  We got rid of our Clear internet provider, and Chris found a Comcast deal that bundled internet and cable for cheaper than Clear alone.  Erica is anti-cable, but glad for Food Network and HGTV.

Today, we headed to Boulder and biked 5 miles to Flagstaff Mountain from our friend Brian's house.  We valeted our bikes about a mile up and found the party zone to watch the race:

We had a mountainside/roadside picnic while we waited.

RadioShack Nissan Trek was throwing out schwag and Erica got this sweet hat.

This is the crowd.  The police had to conduct a little crowd control to ensure there was room for the riders.  A DJ had set up and there was dancing and drinking.

Start: Stage 4

Stage 4 takes the riders from Aspen to Beaver Creek.  We had a great morning and got to see many riders after their morning warm ups and Erica even got a picture with Bobke!  After the racers headed out, we had lunch at Finbarr's on the mall and then headed home.

Enough Said...

But sad and comical anything needs to be said at all.

Field Trip

Took a little trip to Pioneer Sand today.  We have big plans for the side and back yards.  We made our choice of stone, now just need to figure out our exact plans and how much material we will need.

Elevation Beer Co.

The second stop of the day was at Hops and Pie for some food and Beer.  These beers were from Elevation Beer Co.  who hail from Poncha Springs, CO.  They offered 2 beers that were aged in Chardonnay and Cabernet barrels along with their unaged counterparts.  They also offered a Firkin, which we had never had before.

I think it is safe to say a good day was had by all.  Happy Birthday, Jim!

Now Boarding

Here is the gang at the Denver Art Museum.  We saw the new Fentress exhibit:

An exhibition that will change how travelers view airports and their design, Now Boarding: Fentress Airports + The Architecture of Flight takes visitors on a journey through the history of airports aided by film, digital art, animation, models, drawings, photographs, and full-scale architectural elements. Visitors will travel through six airports designed by Denver-based Fentress Architects: Denver International Airport, South Korea's Incheon International Airport, Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, Mineta San Jose International Airport, Raleigh-Durham International Airport, and Los Angeles International Airport.

We didn't know what to expect, but everyone agreed it was interesting and we were glad we went.  One of our favorite things was the Multi Media project, "Gate Change":

Pre Op

What a bunch of lushes!

Had a really nice visit with Kim and Dick.  It was good to catch up.  We hung out at their hotel and ordered pizza.  Of course we waited in the bar for it to be delivered.
