Valentine’s Grand Finale

Okay, one last V-Day post of our Valentine’s Day dinner.  It was a take and bake meal from Il Porcellino Salumi   

And, we watched Bridgerton for the second time.  Chris humored Erica (he “watched” the first go round with his eyes closed for the most part).  True love right there, folks.  ❤️

Valentine’s Cheese Board

Erica recently picked up the book: That Cheese Plate Will Change your Life   It’s a step by step “cookbook” for making cheese and charcuterie boards.  

Tonight we enjoyed this Valentine’s cheese and meat board inspired by the book. 

Cheese: Cheddar, Pepper Jack, & Camembert, warmed with honey, balsamic, and raspberries.

Meat: Summer sausage & Braunschweiger.

Accompaniments: hot honey walnuts, raspberries, gherkins, crackers, fresh baked French bread, Lu Le Pims Chocolate Biscuit Cookies.

Happy Galentine’s Day!

It was cold and we didn’t want to get out of bed this morning, so we took our sweet time.  #wewokeuplikethis

Dinner at Bar Dough tonight.  In our own little heated greenhouse. It was very cold outside (9 degrees, -1 windchill), but we were quite cozy inside (except when the door was opened for service to occur).

We were just one greenhouse in this greenhouse village.

Erica had dinner out with two girlfriends this evening.  We have been part of each other’s pandemic pod since the beginning and it almost felt like the world was not turned upside down for a moment. 

A number of restaurants in Denver have greenhouses or igloos for private dining   

We had an amazing meal at Senor Bear in their greenhouse.

There was a heater under the table and a Bluetooth speaker so we could stream tunes.

We have more upcoming private dinners planned this month...
