Bonjour à tous

Hello from France!

Here I am at Carry-le-Rouet. We stopped here on the way back to Marseille after a day at the refinery to have a couple of beers. It was very beautiful and the weather was perfect. I decided it would be fun to play tourist.

Here's my little hotel room.

This is a little windmill between Carry-le-Rouet and Marseille.

Tomorrow I have another day at the refinery in France. In the afternoon I travel to Ireland to see another refinery and drink some Guinness. Then on Friday I leave Ireland to travel to Kansas City. I don't know of any nice refineries in Kansas City, but I guess I'll manage.

No! I'm not one of the Village People! Next week I will be traveling to France and the Netherlands for work and I had to get a hard hat and fire-proof jump suit because we will be working in a refinery. I leave Sunday afternoon for Marseille, France. Then on Thursday I will be in Amsterdam. On Friday I fly from Amsterdam to Kansas City to be with Erica for the weekend. It is going to be a crazy week of flying and working. Hopefully I will get a chance to do some tourist stuff.

Most importantly, I need to try my hardest to get Erica a very special rugby jersey!

Spring in KC

Periwinkle

Tulip

The tulips are blooming, the peonies and hostas are up, the strawberries are doing well, my shrub roses are looking good. Its SPRING!

My Monkey

Chris climbed the Magnolia to get a trash bag that was stuck. He also took down a few dead branches, and monkeyed around a bit too.

New Gutters, New Mailbox, New Fence

Last week we had new gutters, downspouts, and fascia wrap put on the house. About 4 feet of rotten fascia in the front of the house was also replaced. Chris called all over Kansas City for quotes and we found Curtis the Gutter Guy. He did a great job and best of all he was the cheapest.

Bedroom wall art

I got both pieces of wall art for cheap at TJ Maxx (the blue pillow too). This picture makes them look much smaller than they actually are.

I like them. Chris does too and he did a great job hanging them :)

A Moment of Silence, Please

I regret to inform everyone that Wasabi has left us. Earlier today he swam to the giant betta bowl in the sky. He is survived by no one. So much for our parenting skills. How sad :(
