It pays to be nice 0:-)

I [Chris] was waiting in line at the register at Kohl's this afternoon. I was there buying picture frames because they were 50% off, plus I was going to get an additional 15% off for using my Kohl's credit card. I was next. An old lady, who was clearly not playing with a full deck, walked up to the girl at the register and started rambling about canceling her Kohl's credit card and getting a new one because she had lost her wallet. The girl at the register finished with the people in front of me and I told her she could take care of the old lady before I checked out (I figured it wouldn't take long because I assumed there was nothing the girl at the register could do.) The girl at the register told the old lady to go to customer service. The old lady said she had already been to customer service. While the girl at the register was on the phone with the customer service desk the old lady proceeded to whip out her passport as proof of identification and announce that she knew her SSN. Turns out you can only cancel your card by calling the 1-800 number. The girl at the register sent the old lady back to the customer service desk to use their phone to call and cancel her card.

Moral of the story: Be nice. Wait an extra 2-3 minutes. Get an extra 10% discount. The girl at the register gave me 25% instead of the 15% that was advertised.

Not Just Allergies

I have been suffering from allergies all week, but the glands in my neck have been getting large and tender over the past few days. I feel feverish today and all week I have felt like I just can't get enough sleep. I went to bed at 8:30 on Thursday night and was still exhausted in the morning. Are you thinking what I am thinking? I don't even want to type it, but it starts with an M. I had a really bad case of it in college. Maybe I am jumping to conclusions...I will keep you posted.

TGIF!

There is really nothing new besides that! I am very busy with school and work. Let's see, what else...it was cooler here this week, but my allergies have been atrocious. I don't remember the last time they have been this bad.

Neither of us are traveling this weekend, but I think we both have long To Do lists to keep us busy while we are apart. The majority of my time will be spent at the library.

Thats all I have for now! Erica :)

Countertops

I finally got my new countertops!!! I love 'em! They are made by CaesarStone. The color is Copper Abyss and they go perfectly with my walls, which is good because the wall color was chosen knowing that I would get these countertops. I also got a new undermount sink which is huge and will allow me to collect even more dirty dishes before I have to wash them :) There is still a little finish work to do because these countertops are not a thick as the old ones. Mom, are you ready to paint?

Super Bad - Not so Good

There are some very funny parts, but overall, not worth all of the hype.

Chicago

This past weekend we both flew to Chicago to hang out with AGPERP and RAK-KAK. A great time was had by all. We took the Green Line into the city where we explored Millennium Park, walked along the lake front, window shopped on Michigan Ave, and enjoyed cocktails at the top of the Hancock Building.
