Today we met Erica's former coworker and BFF, Ashley, in Boulder and decided to hike to the Royal Arch. We started from Chautauqua Park in Boulder. It was a beautiful day for a hike and things got exciting pretty quickly. We were not too far into the hike before we met our friend the bear. He/she was just wandering around on some rocks below the trail, maybe 100ft from us. It was quite the surprise to see the bear and it just added to the wonderful experience. The hike was quite strenuous, the views from the arch were spectacular, and now we are happily relaxing at home.
