First Big Haul
We picked cherries tonight! It was the first real harvest we’ve had.
Our tree looks more like a cherry bush!

Happy 4th!
We have been organizing and doing a major purge at the McCasa this holiday weekend. We snuck out to one of our favorite spots for some good food and beer.

The yard is showing off right now. 😃

There are Japanese Beetle sightings in the neighborhood. They haven’t hit our yard. Yet.

Implant Surgery + a Surprise
I had my 3rd surgery yesterday. I’m back at work today and managing pain and swelling (Dad says a lot of Hollywood people pay lots of money for the way my lips look today).
They really worked my gums down again during the procedure which is where all the swelling is coming from. Overall, I’m feeling nowhere near as bad as the second where they really packed me full of grafting and I had a really tough recovery.

Dr. Stone buried the implant and packed in more bone grafting so I do not have an abutment yet. The RN said there was good torque when they placed the implant.
I go back in 3 months to place the abutment which will involve a minor procedure and I hope they can test the implant to be sure it is strong enough at that time as well. It’s sounding like I will also need tissue training and temporary crowns before the final crown is placed.
There have been some speed bumps, but Dr. Stone is working hard so I have none or really minimal pink on my new crown. Everyone I speak with says he is the best.
And these were delivered today - From Dr. Stone, my surgeon and Dr. Roehleder, my general dentist who will make my crown and do tissue training if needed.
A really nice surprise. They are gorgeous.
I may just have new teeth by Thanksgiving! ❤️

Bike MS
We rode 78 miles today for Bike MS. We had a new team this year too - Mind over Miles.
Luckily, we were undercover for the big rain storm - we were stopped for lunch on the route. We did ride through rain the last 7ish miles though.
Time to relax and recover.
We are also still raising funds to find a cure for MS. We would love your support if you are so inclined!

91 Bottles of Beer on the Wall
Great American Beer Fest was cancelled again this year so we made our own (again). Between 9 of us, we amassed 91 different beers to taste. Erica was one of the few who tasted them all (and who then was in bed at 6:30pm).

Boulevard Brewing’s Pint-Sized Hawaiian Pizza Party Tiki IPA was the favorite of the day.
