....we were excited about the new house going up across the street?  

This is what happens around sunset now.  Shines right into our living room.  Almost like that London hotel that melts cars and starts buildings on fire.

Carousel of Happiness

We rode the carousel today!  Rides are $1 and the animals were all hand carved by a veteran.  You have to read the story of the carousel here.  

We couldn’t help but have big smiles on our faces the entire ride.  

 

Mud Lake

We stretched the legs on an easy hike around Mud Lake this morning.

2018 MS 150

We rode in the MS150 June 23rd and 24th.  We got caught in bad weather at the end of Day 2.  We finished the course, but riders behind us were picked up in sag wagons because of the storm.

Sipping and Sewing

Erica took a sewing class tonight at Cheluna Brewing and used Chris’s grandma Elizabeth’s 1950’s Morse sewing machine for the first time.  She’s a beaut, worked great and was a big hit.  

The class made a wine bag complete with mitered corners and a drawstring.  We also learned how to hem pants.

Fish Fry at The Shanty

We met Courtney & Chris out for dinner at the Shanty Supper Club.  It’s a brand new spot.  They have a Friday night fish fry (cod) and the old fashioneds were pretty tasty.  

Fancy Drinks

There’s a prohibition style bar in our neighborhood that we tried out called the Tatarian.  

This was a favorite:

The Kapok.  Irish whiskey, combier, orgeat, banana oleo, pineapple juice, lime juice, tiki bitters, and raspberries.

Who knows what all of these ingredients are but delicious.
